Perspective on Obama's Announcement of Troop Surge in Afghanistan

A Toastmaster's Perspective: Excellent thoughts about military effort needed in Afghanistan from the president. Thorough research, logical conclusions and concise communication of ideas - an A if this were a doctoral dissertation. However, for a speech to the nation and world, lack of vocal variety lulled my brain after the first 25 minutes. I noted at least 3 other pairs of eyes on the CNN pan that were at half mast, if not closed.

Luckily he convinced me during that first 20 minutes. Again I am reminded what a relief it is to have an intelligent leader for our beloved nation. It is clear we all need to pray for this situation - "May this or something better manifest for the highest good of all concerned."
